Welcome to the Build-A-Flower Blog Hop! Today, we’re celebrating the release of the new Sweet Violet set! I don’t know about you – but the Build-A-Flower sets have quickly become my favorite sets. I love that it comes with the die and features a new flower with each release.

For today’s card, I stamped out several of the violets in two different colors using Altenew inks. For the pink flowers, I used Purple Wine, Puffy Heart, Rose Quartz. For the purple flowers, I used Ultraviolet, Hydrangea, Wisteria. The floral centers are stamped with Honey Drizzle and Citrus Burst and the leaves are stamped with Evergreen, Moss, Forest Glades, Frayed Leaf.

Originally, I had only stamped the purple violets, but I stamped the pink ones to create a slimline card. I often look online for images of the real flowers and saw a spray that inspired me to create this card.

The card dimensions are 4.25″ x 8.5″. I cut a panel to mat this card base (4″ x 8.25″) and ink blended some Bundled Sage Distress Oxide where I wanted the arrangement to give the card some additional color/glow.

I then arranged my flowers over the ink-blended area, some adhered directly to the card, some using foam adhesive for dimension. Then I embossed the sentiment over black cardstock using white embossing powder.

To complete the card, I used Nuvo drops in 3 different colors to add interest. I really hope you enjoyed this card. Be sure to hop along and leave a comment for your chance to win some giftcards!
