Waffle Flower is celebrating their 5th Birthday this month! I don’t have birthday cards to share today but I’ve created two cards using the Rainbow Bridge die. I created these samples for Creativation, but am sharing today as a part of this blog hop!
I love that you can personalize these cards using either the cat or dog die. I don’t currently have any pets, but having had to make the difficult decision to re-home a beloved pet last year, I know what losing a pet is like and I’m so grateful for the experience. It’s really a pain like no other and I’m glad I can at least empathize with those who lose pets. It’s soo terribly sad!
I die cut the images using white cardstock and used Copic markers to color the rainbow bands before in-laying them back into their slots and taping them in place. I masked off the die over the cardbase and ink-blended the sky portion inside the frame. I also splattered some water to give it some extra texture and interest.
After ink-blending, I used foam adhesive to adhere the panels to the ink-blended card base and embossed the sentiment in white over black cardstock.
Pet-sympathy cards are so sad to make, but I am glad I have these in my stash should the occasion arise. I hope you enjoyed these quick and easy cards!
