Hello, Friends!

I’m a guest for My Favorite Things’s MFT & Friends feature today, sharing inspiration for their May release! Such fun and adorable products. I’m in the middle of a big move right now but I managed to make two cards and I hope you enjoy them!

My first card uses the new Friendly Foxes set along with the Falling From the Clouds Frame. This die is actually really fun – there’s an interactive element that I didn’t get to use – but there is a die that allows for strung beads to mimic rainfall! How fun is that? Sorry I don’t get to share that fun feature with you. Instead, I used the frame to add clouds using the Mini Clouds stencil.

These adorable foxes are illustrated by Stacey Yacula – I’m sure many of you already recognize her illustrations! I stamped and colored the foxes using Copic markers (Copics:  G03, G09, V01, V04, R20, E30, E31, E99, Y21, YR24, Y26, YR27). To create the background, I ink-blended Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks.

I then splattered the background with water, distress oxide ink and white paint for some additional texture. I die-cut some grass using MFT’s Grassy Hills die and gave the grass some extra color with Field Day ink. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment on the bottom adhered the frame using foam adhesive.

My second card features the Builder Bears set. I stamped and colored my images using Copic markers (Y00, Y08, G40, V01, V04, RV11, R83, R85, B000, B23, B34, R20, R05, R14, R17, E50, E53, E34, E25, C1, C4, YG03, YG35, YG45), then I die-cut the images and set them aside to work on the background.

The background is first ink-blended with Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Ink. Then I used the Grassy Edges stencil and ink-blended the grass using Lucky Clover ink. Then I blended Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac inks to create background.

I splattered the panel with water and white ink to give it some texture. I embossed the sentiment and adhered the images using foam adhesive.
