Hi, Friends!
I’ve got a really classy interactive card today using this month’s Spellbinders Large Die of the Month. This month’s kit comes with a slider pop-up die as well as dies for a few different occasions/holidays (Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, stars, hearts, snowflakes, etc.). I love versatile dies and I think this is a great one!

I created a gold wreath today and accented it with the flower dies that come with this month’s kit. I decided to stick with a softer color palette and thought the Spiffy Spots patterned paper would be perfect for this project. I ink-blended around the outer edges with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink before cutting the top panel for the pop-up mechanism.

The slider mechanism is cut from white paper and I left it blank to write a message for the recipient (there is a spot at the bottom when the slider portion goes up as well). I adhered this to the pop-up panel using a single strip of score adhesive at the very bottom. To adhere this to a card base, I used foam adhesive so there was room for the slider to move without friction.

Once the card was constructed, I worked on decorating it. The wreath is cut from gold foil cardstock. I cut it twice more using white paper to adhere the three layers together to create a sturdy gold circle frame. I then added a piece of vellum to back the wreath so I could adhere the sentiment – cut from the word “HI” from the kit (once again, 2 layers of white, top layer in gold).

All the flowers and foliage are cut with colored cardstock and ink-blended a little with a coordinating ink to give it more color. After assembling the flowers, I adhered them to the gold circle frame in the bottom right and upper left portions, with some hanging off the edges for some interest when the card is propped up.

I hope this project inspires you. If you’re not subscribed for the monthly kit, you should (you can cancel at anytime! There are also other monthly kits you may be interested in also so be sure to check out the Spellbinders website! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
