I’m excited to join Tonic Studios for their first stamp release Garden Party Blog Hop! Today is Day 2 of the hop, so if you’ve missed it, feel free to go back and visit Day 1! Lots of beautiful floral images, but also some fun “Celebration” stamps as well. Today, I’m using the Peony Bloom stamp set.
I stamped and colored my images using Copic markers, focusing on a darker and deeper peony color. I colored by flicking so mimic petal veins instead of blending. Honestly – I’m really not sure this is faster than blending. The flicks have to be more methodically placed and intentional.
I added some white gel highlights to my images after fussy-cutting them. To prepare the background, I ink-blended with Worn Lipstick and sprayed it with some water droplets for some texture.
I adhered my images to my card panel, then embossed the sentiment using the Celebrate Sentiments stamp set on black cardstock using white embossing powder. To give it a final touch, I added some Pink Granite Stone Drops.

I’ve never tried coloring flowers like this, but I can imagine what you mean about it not being any faster. I’d be going so slow trying not to mess it up!!! It came out beautiful!!!
