Hi, Friends!
I’m so excited to share a few projects using products from My Favorite Things’s September release as an MFT Friend today. Be sure to visit the MFT Blog to see all the inspiration for today’s release.

The first card I made is a mix of the Lessons in Love and Favorite Teacher stamp sets. Both are teacher-related sets and can be used interchangeably (in my opinion). I couldn’t resist using all the little images to fill my scene.

I knew I wanted to create a chalkboard classroom scene, so I searched my die section and found the Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames and it worked perfectly. I die cut the frame twice – once in brown cardstock (for the chalkboard frame), and once in green cardstock (for the chalkboard). To give the two pieces more dimension and interest, I ink-blended them with Vintage Photo and Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink.

The images are colored with Copic markers. After coloring, I created my . background by masking off only a thin strip at the bottom of my panel to ink-blend the floor using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. The chalkboard area is big – so I decided to stamp and emboss two of them :).

Pinks/Reds: R20, R83, R56, R05, R14, R39
Burnt Red (eraser): Y21, YR24, E15
Blues: B24, B26
Purples: V01, V04, V15
Grays: N0, N2, N4, N7
My second card is a fall card using the Piles of Fun set. I colored my images using Copic markers for this card and die-cut all the images and set them aside to work on my background.

Leaves: YG09, YG67, Y08, YR04, R29, R39
Blue Bird: B00, BG02, BG05, E0000, E00, R20
Chipmunk: E31, E34, E37, E41, R20
Mouse: W0, W2, W5, E00, R20
Squirrel: E41, E00, E31, E23, E57, E59, R20
I ink-blended a panel using Spiced Marmalade (for the center), then ink-blended the top around the Spiced Marmalade using Rusty Hinge. The bottom is ink-blended with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.

After ink-blending, I splattered it with some water, then I splattered some watered-down Vintage Photo ink, then added some white paint as well.

Before adhering the images, I stamped and embossed the sentiment. Then for some extra interest (one you can barely see in the photos, a large image from this set that’s a mound of leaves using Versamark Ink. These little friends are sure having fun!

My third card features the new Floral Focus set. I absolutely love this gorgeous magnolia flower stamp set. This is a one piece stamp and die set and makes it so easy if arranging florals is challenging for you!

I watercolored my image today using Daniel Smith watercolors.
Permanent Violet – Magnolia
Carbazole Violet – purple flowers
Phthalo Green YS (Yellow Shade) – small leaves
Undersea Green – Magnolia leaves
New Gamboge – Magnolia centers
I felt the magnolia needed some veins so I painted them on. I added foam adhesive all over the back bc I wanted it to pop up on my card. My background is created using a soft kraft-colored cardstock that I ink-blended with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink.

After attaching my image to the background panel, I then splatted the entire thing with white ink. The sentiment is stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder using the Bitty Thanks and Gratitude sentiment set. Before adhering my sentiment strip, I added some gold thread to the back, creating figure 8 motion. Finally, to give the card a final delicate touch, I added white iridescent jewels.
ONE (two) more! Thanks for bearing with me…I know this is a loaded post. I’ve used the Cafe All Day and Mini Cafe All Day Die-namics to create these coffee cards.

For the shaker card, I used the Coffee Cup Shaker Pouches. I simple ink-blended a panel using Vintage Photo and a blend of Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass.

I stamped my sentiment at the bottom of my card, then I filled the shaker with sequins before adhering my shaker panel to a card base ink-blended with Vintage Photo.

My second card uses the Mini Cafe All Day Die-namics. It’s the exact same as Cafe All Day…but mini! I made two little cups and made a quick clean and simple card. The coolest part about these cards is the foamy whipped cream on top – which you can create with a clear lacquer like Glossy Accents and white puff embossing powder. Heating it up will create this 3D puff. Isn’t it neat?!
I hope you enjoyed these projects! I thoroughly love MFT’s releases and am so grateful to be a part of it!

Thank you for all the inspiration. My favorite is the floral focus card and I like how you blended the worn lipstick distress oxide on the craft colored cardstock and added the gold thread as an embellishment. A really pretty card.
