Hi Friends!

Thanks for joining us today for Altenew’s Stencil/Washi Tape/Die Cut Tape Release! I’ve made two cards using some holiday stencils so let’s dive right in!

My first card uses the Leaves and Berries Stencil. I started by adhering my stencil to a white piece of cardstock. Then I ink-blended with Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink for the berries and Pine Needles for the leaves.

I cleaned my stencil and aligned it again to add some shimmery glimmer paste. That has to be allowed to dry so I set it aside to work on my second card. Once it was dry, I returned to it and ink-blended Broken China Distress Oxide ink around the outer edges.

To finish my card, I stamped the sentiment from the Faceted Stars stamp set and embossed it in white over black cardstock. Then I trimmed the sentiments into three strips. Before adhering them to the card, I added foam adhesive and some silver thread.

My second card uses the Classic Pine Stencil Bundle. There are two stencils. One for the pine needles and the other for the pine cones. I ink-blended the Pine Needles with Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink (appropriate, right?) and the pine cones with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.

After ink-blending, I wanted to add some shine to my card also. This time, I used Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard to apply lines on the pine needles to somewhat mimic snow.

The sentiment is from the Mini Merry Christmas stamp set. I embossed it in gold and cut it down to place on my card. To give it a frame, I backed it with a piece of black cardstock to mat it. For a bit of color, I also added drops of red glitter drops.
