Hi, Friends!
Welcome to the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit Release Blog Hop! We’ve got a retro themed holiday set to share with you and I hope you’ll find lots of inspiration along the hop. I’ve created a home holiday scene to show you how great the images in this kit are. If you’d like to see everything that’s available this month, click HERE. Let’s dive right in!

I stamped and colored all of my images using Copic markers. I wanted the fireplace to mimic natural cobblestone so I dotted it with grays and browns. After coloring, I die-cut my images and added white gel highlights.

Copic colors used:
Reds: R05, R27, R29
Grays: C1, C4, C7
Yellows: Y00, Y19
Browns: E30, E33, E37
Pinks: RV11, R83
Purples: B60, B63
Green: G21, G46, G29
Misc: E01, B000 (Santa note and milk glass)

The background is masked and ink-blended with Weathered Wood for the wall and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks for the floor. I adhered my fireplace down first and then built my scene, adding the bauble wreath and stockings over it with foam adhesive. The table and tree are also adhered with foam adhesive. Then I finished by adding the sentiment off to the right and added some clear lacquer over the baubles and ornaments on the tree.
