My Favorite Things – Snow Globe Greetings Card Kit – Mistletoe Snow Globe

The next My Favorite Things card kit will be available October 22nd at 10am EST. The team will be sharing inspiration over the next 3 days until its release. I love this card kit – snow globe, mistletoe and shaker pouches – my favorite things, indeed! I hope you’ll see that while the contents might be simple, there are many different things to do with it!

I’ve made a classic tall snow glove for today with a simple mistletoe branch inside. To create this card, I started by die-cutting the mistletoe with Gumdrop Green card stock – which is included in the kit. The berries are die-cut using Wild Cherry card stock and the silver bow is die-cut using Silver Sparkle Card Stock, which are also included in the kit.

After die-cutting, I adhered the berries and bow to the mistletoe branch and added white gel highlights. Then to create my shaker, I used the Tall Snow Globe Die-namics to cut my window. Before adhering my shaker pouch, I cut a frame around the panel using the Wonky Stitched Rectangles die. Then on a cardbase, traced the opening of my tall snowglobe to ink-blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink before adhering my mistletoe down.

I filled my shaker with my favorite mix and enclosed the panel over my ink-blended background. I die-cut the base of the snow globe using kraft cardstock (also included in the card kit) and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. To give the base some shading, I ink-blended with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink on the sides, blending towards the center.
