Hi, Friends!
It’s Wednesday – and that means, there’s a new Sketch Challenge on the MFT blog. I’m playing along this week using the Christmas sELFies set.

You can see why I chose the Christmas sELFies set for this sketch – definitely fits! I chose the elves to color and used Copic markers to color my images. I saw Stephanie Klauck give her elves eye colors and thought I would give it a try – so I gave one elf green eyes and one elf blue eyes. It’s simple – all you do is draw a small ring around the black pupils! Thanks for the idea, Stephanie!

After coloring, I also added blue to outline the images and fade out with a lighter shade of blue.
Copic colors used:
Reds: R05, R24, R39
Oranges: Y18, Y38, YR18, YR27, E07
Browns: E50, E30, E25, E59
Grays: C3, C6, C8
Greens: YG07, G09, G29,
Blues: B0000, B000, B01, B06

I die cut the colored image using the Selfie Square Die-namics and added white gel highlights. To create my background, I used Sno Cone cardstock and Berrylicious Ink to stamp my HO HO HO background.

I finished my card by stamping the sentiment and embossing it over black cardstock with white embossing powder and adhered it straight over the off-set image.
If you’re up for it, I think this challenge is an easy one to play along with. You can win a $50 gift voucher to the MFT boutique, so be sure to share your project with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
