The first Monday of the month means it’s time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! The current them is Happy Little Holiday Critters! How fun is that?! Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawnatics Blog to see inspiration from the design team!
For today’s card, I’m using the Mice on Ice set! It’s an adorable set and I thought I would create a scene on a Shadow Box Card. I couldn’t help but also decorate the inside of the shadow box with the Mountain Add-On.

It’s always helpful to do all the die-cutting first before assembling. I used a lot of different Lawn Fawn cardstock to create my scene (Mermaid, Cilantro, Noble Fir, Sticky Note, Fog, Pixie Dust Sparkle). The only things I colored were the mice and some shading on the lighter green trees using Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink.
Copics:
Reds: R20, R32, R35, R39
Purples: V01, V04, V05
Teals: BG11, BG13, BG18
Grays: W1, W3, W6
Browns: E31, E35
I used the Snow Day Remix Paper Pack for my snowy backdrop and decorated the snowy hillside with trees and the log cabin cut from Woodgrain cardstock.
The lake is created with a hillside die also, but trimmed a little more to matte the hillside behind it with Pearlescent Vellum. To give it an ice blue color, I colored it with blue Copic marker. I stamped the sentiments in Peacock Ink and adhered it on the front along with my mice. I love the one jumping in the air!
