Hi, Friends!
The MFT design team is gearing up for the next release. Today, we’re starting the countdown with two full sized sets and I’ve made cards with each to share with you.! My first card features the new Rose Garden set.

I recently traded watercolor palettes with my friend Angelica Conrad, who is also an MFT Design Team member. She has Mijello Mission Gold watercolors and I have Daniel Smith – so we used what we had and created palettes for each other. It’s a great gesture to trade our supply with others that would otherwise go unused! The colors are very vibrant and smooth and I really like them!

I stamped my image using Intense Black ink to watercolor over Arches Cold Press watercolor paper. I love that it’s a full image and is arranged for you and the die cuts everything in one cut! I started with my roses and applied concentrated paint to the inner crevices of each petal, then drew out the paint with a damp brush.
Colors used: Rose Madder, Hooker’s Green Cerulean Blue, Orange, Permanent Yellow Light

After watercoloring, I die-cut my image and set it aside to work on my background. I used Grout Gray card stock and ink-blended Festive Berries and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks in the bottom left hand corner. I attached the image to my ink-blended panel and splattered it lightly with white paint. To complete my card, I stamped and embossed my sentiment over Tickled Pink card stock in white, then matted it over my white card base.

The second new stamp I’m featuring is the whimsical Magical Friends set. The dragons are similar to the first dragon set by MFT (Magical Dragons), but with new and fun images. I colored my images with Copic markers before setting up my scene.
Dragon: Y18, YR18, BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78
Girls: E35, E57, RV11, R85, B000, B01
Skin: E00. E04, R20
Flowers: YG06, YG09, B02, BV04, BV08

For the background, I ink-blended the cloud background with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. The I die-cut the top cloud (or think bubble) using the Stitched Cloud Edges die.

The grass is die-cut from Gumdrop Green Cardstock using the Grassy Hills die. I love that she’s sitting in the grass day-dreaming about her next adventure with her magical friend! I hope you’re excited about the next release. It will be available on Tuesday, December 10th at 10:00am EDT!
Thanks for stopping by today!
