Hi, Friends!
A new Lawn Fawnactics Challenge is underway! I took this next inspiration board pretty literally with the snowfall – so it’s not a traditional Lawn Fawn card from me. The nice thing is – I get to make another project for the Lawn Fawnatics blog on Wednesday – so don’t miss that! I’ll share here on Wednesday as well.

If you don’t already know, I LOVE snowflakes. So when I saw this inspiration board, I knew exactly what I wanted to use. And these colors!!! They are gorgeous!

To start today’s card, I ink-blended a full A2-sized panel using Distress Oxide Ink colors that coordinate with the colors for this challenge’s inspiration board (Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire, Broken China). After ink-blending, I die-cut the snowflakes and covered them with a layer of Distress Glaze (this seals in the colors and makes it more vibrant!)

I ink-blended another card panel and sprayed it with water for some interest and texture. Then I laid down the snowflakes I wanted to hang off my card (only the two) and die-cut my Happy Holidays Line Border sentiment in black and adhered that to the bottom of my card front. Using the Outside In Stitched Rectangles, I die-cut my card panel – and this trims the overhangs from the two snowflakes and line sentiment.

I had lots of extra snowflakes, so I decided to make a second card with a pink background so the snowflakes can stand out a bit better. My first background was blended with Tumbled Glass, my second with Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose. When I was done creating my second background and adding the snowflakes and sentiments, I added another touch to my cards with flat confetti sequins over the snowflake centers and on the card as well.

The snowflakes definitely stand out better against the pink background, I think! I hope you liked these simple snowflake cards! How do you interpret the inspiration board? I always think it’s fascinating how so many people can create different cards based on one inspiration board. I can’t wait to see all the link-ups!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!
