My Favorite Things – Hits and Highlights – Beast Friends Snow Globe

“Snow globes are truly magical — miniature scenes encased in glass and swirling snow. The beauty of snow globes is that while we often think of holiday tableaus, you can create almost any scene you’d like within those domed confines! This month, we’ve got winter on our minds, and have challenged the team to create snow globe scenes to celebrate the beauty of winter.”

Hi, Friends!

The MFT team is creating projects using snow globes to celebrate winter this month. I’m sharing a card today using the Classic Snow Globe along with the Beast Friends set to create my snow globe scene.

I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers. For my background, I used a sheet of blue patterned paper from the Watercolor Wash paper pack. I ink-blended it with some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to give it more dimension before adding my colored images (with the exception of the yeti – which I adhered to the outside of my snow globe).

I die-cut my snow globe and scallop frame using a die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics set. I added clear seed beads on top of my scene before securing my snow globe over it to seal my shaker components. The sentiment is from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set and is stamped to the snow globe base and also colored with Copic Markers. Finally, I added my yeti on top to finish my card.

Copic colors used:
Yeti:  B0000, B00, C0, C2, R21
Trees:  G43, G46, E21, E35
Scarf:  V20, V22, V25
Mug:  R21, R22
Globe Stand:  C0, C2
