Hi, Friends!

We’re so excited to share an all new Ellen Hutson release with coming March 8th! It’s a huge release with so many fun new sets and we want to prepare you this week for all the goodies that will be available. I’m sharing a project today using the Mondo Succulent set! I love succulents and this set displays a top view of an arrangement.

I stamped my image on a white panel with brown Copic-friendly ink to color it.

Copic colors used:
Brown:  E39, E47, E29
Terra Cotta:  E11, E13, E15, E17
Greens:  G000, G40, G43, G46, YG11, YG05 ,YG06, YG07, YG09, YG13, FYG2
Pinks:  RV32, RV34, RV93, RV95
Purple:  BV0000, V15
Grays:  C00, C1

After coloring, I used a white gel pen to add highlights to my image and replaced my brown dots on one of the succulents for white dots to imitate what they’d look like in real life. It’s tedious, but definitely makes the succulent plant look more realistic.

I added a shadow around my image with light gray markers then stamped my sentiment in the same brown ink at the bottom of my card. To give my card some dimension since it is truly a one-layer card, I added foam adhesive on the back before adhering it to a card base.
