Hey, Friends!

Welcome back for another MFT Countdown! The release will be available Tuesday, May 5th at 10am EST! Today, I’m sharing a card made using a new Stacey Yacula-illustrated set called Always Bring a Smile! It’s super sweet so I had to color a few images to create my scene and I couldn’t fit it onto an A2-sized card so another slimline card, it is!

My card is sized at 4″x8″. This changes depending on my scene and how many images I have so it’s not a magic number. It’s personal preference, too. I usually ink-blend and create my background and lay out my images before trimming to know for sure what the finished card panel will be. Today, I ink-blended with Lucky Clover, Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks.

I usually stamp with a black ink, but decided to use the MFT Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink for today’s card. It softens up our critters some.

Copic colors:
Yellows:  Y00, Y04, Y15, Y35
Browns:  [E000, E00, E53], [E40, E41, E42, E43, E44], [E21, E23, E25, E27]
Reds: R20, R22, R24, R27, R59
Purples:  V000, V12, V15, V17
Blues:  BG000. BG01, BG05, BG07
Greens:  [YG11, YG61, YG67], [YG09, G09]

There’s nothing wrong with lazy days when you’re enjoying what you’re doing! I hope you’re all doing well during this quarantine. I know I’ve been doing more of the things I love – other crafts and baking that I haven’t made time for and it’s been so nice! Now it’s back to work!
