My Favorite Things – Wednesday Sketch Challenge #493 – Friends with Fins

Hi, Friends!

Welcome to another MFT Stamps Wednesday Sketch Challenge! My interpretation of today’s sketch has a water theme with simple additions to create a scene using the Friends with Fins set.

I used the Drifts and Hills stencil to ink-blend the ribbons of color for my background and splattered it with water and paint for additional interest and texture. I started with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink at the top, then Speckled Egg for the center, and Mermaid Lagoon for the bottom. To add some shading around the outer edges, I added Blueprint Sketch.

I colored two dolphins from the Friends with Fins set with Copic markers (R20, C1, C3, C5, C7, B000, B01, B04, B06) and attached them to my ink-blended panel with foam adhesive. To finish, I embossed the sentiment over black cardstock and cut fishtails on the ends before attaching it with foam adhesive also.
