My Favorite Things – Magnolia Blossoms

Hi, Friends!

The MFT Stamps Mid-Month Red Rubber Release is here! There are so many beautiful floral stamps. If you love background stamps and really detailed floral images, this release is for you! While we were counting down the past 3 days, I’ve used background stamps using different color mediums. Today, I’m using the Magnolia Blossoms set, which are two individual stamps that I colored and fussy cut to create today’s card.

I colored my images Copic markers and at the end, added some details on the lighter portions of the flowers with a Crimson Red Prismacolor colored pencil.

Copic colors used:
Flowers: R000, R01, R30, R32, R35
Branches: E43, E44, E47
Leaves: YG93, YG13, YG17
Centers: Y15, YR23, YR27

I fussy cut the images – even the space between the flowers and branches with a craft knife – I really wanted the background to show through. For my background, I ink-blended Natural card stock with Worn Lipstick and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks. This is something I’ve done a few times and love the color it gives under the flowers.

After attaching the images to the ink-blended background, I splattered the panel with white paint and attached my embossed sentiment using foam adhesive.

Here’s a recap of my four cards for this release:

I hope this gives you lots of inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
