Hi, Friends!
I’m so excited to share this card today. Altenew releases a new Craft-A-Flower die set every month with a different flower and this month’s Daisy Layering Die Set is just so beautiful! Be sure to check out the Altenew Blog where the blog hop is hosted!
Paper-piecing florals is so fun for me. It’s a tedious task, but the Type A part of me takes over. I label all the dies according to the flower so I can organize it by size and color before I decide how many flowers/leaves I want, then I start trimming all the cardstock to die-cut.

I die-cut the bottom most floral layer with a rose pink cardstock, but for the top later, I die-cut in white so that I could add color. I used the Razzleberry ink to ink-blend the edges and centers before adding some veins to the petals using a Magenta Polychromos colored pencil.

The center of the flowers are die-cut from black and navy blue cardstock, but much of it is covered up by the white dots I did to give the centers texture.

My leaves are die-cut from three shades of green cardstock which I layered and tucked behind the flowers. I attached the flowers with foam adhesive to give them extra dimension and my sentiment is embossed from the Adore You stamp set.
Today’s card is a 5″x7″ card – it would’ve all fit on an A2 sized card but I didn’t want any overhang or for the pieces to be too tightly fit together and found that the 5″x7″ to be a great canvas size for these large blooms. I hope you like it!

I absolutely LOVE your card, and would like to buy this set after being inspired by you! I have some “daisy plants” that are these fuchsia colors, and you’ve shown how well these can be made to look similar to the real thing. Thank you!
