Hi Friends!
Pinkfresh Studio is collaborating with My Sweet Petunia today using stamps that feature the MISTI. I chose a background stamp that would require lots of stamping and a lot easier to create using the MISTI. The Pop Out: Chevron Background is so much fun to play with and I used it to create a rainbow pattern.

Truth be told, I made one in rainbow order and when I ran it through my die-cutting machine, some ink and residue transferred and messed up my panel. BOO!!! So I started over and started with green to have more bold colors in the center. Colors were used in this order: Fresh Pear, Sky Blue, Soft Lilac, Coral Reef, Peach Fuzz, Lemon Whip.

I didn’t want the sentiment to take away too much from the gorgeous background I had worked hard on, so I used sentiments from the Oval Foliage Wreath to embossed them in white over black cardstock and die-cut it using the smallest size from the Basic Label Frames. Then to frame it, I die-cut the next size up in white and attached the black one using foam adhesive to give it dimension.

To finish my cards, I attached my sentiment in the upper 1/3 of the card panel. For the panel I made first and got residue on, I layered it with a layer of vellum to soften the mistakes. To finish it all off, I added Jewels to embellish my cards.

I hope you enjoyed these cards! Be sure to stop at each stop along the blog hop to see all the inspiration for this blog hop!

Using the vellum to cover mistakes (that probably only you would have noticed anyway) is a great idea and I will keep this technique in mind next time I stress over a less than perfect result. I love the colors you used.
