It’s been a while since I’ve played with foil. There’s a beautiful new Sparkling Christmas collection from Spellbinders and I’ve created two cards in different colors using the new Merry Salutations Glimmer Hot Foil plate.

I created two cards – in pink and gold. I began by foiling the large sentiment. Then I foiled the small blooms and die-cut the pine twigs and berries.

I used the Essential Ovals die set to die-cut foiled sentiment and decorated it using the extra elements that I foiled and die-cut to give it more interest and color.

I attached the foiled oval panels to a kraft panel using foam adhesive to give the card more dimension. Finally, I added red Stickles over the die-cut berries to give it sparkle and extra dimension. I’m sorry it’s so difficult to see – foiling is not easy to photograph.
