Hi, Friends!

I’m continuing to countdown with Clearly Besotted until their Holiday Release on October 1st! There are so many cute sets and I hope my projects help inspire you to create with this wonderful release! Today, I’m sharing a project I made using the new Dachshund Through set.

I started with the scene stamp from this set and decided to emboss it and the sentiment on a white piece of cardstock first to do some emboss-resist ink-blending. Then I in-blended it with Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Mermaid Lagoon cardstock. After die-cutting a stitched border, I splattered the panel with white and dark teal paint.

To create the snow texture on the trees, I covered the branches and horizon line with glossy accents. Then, I spread white puff embossing powder over it and heat set it. The heat activates the puff powder AND the glossy accents and gives it lots of texture.

I stamped and colored my images using Copic markers, then fussy cut them to add them to my card. To finish, I added some white gel highlights to the images and then dabbed soome Nuvoo Glitter to the stars on the trees to give them some sparkle.
