Hello, Friends!

If you’re an avid follower, you’ve probably heard me say before that sometimes, the best cards don’t require any stamping! Believe it or not, it often takes me just as long or longer to make die-cut only cards. Today’s card uses the Merry on a Line dies. I love the way it blocks the each letter of the word Merry!

I chose a tea/blue/pink palette for my letters – precutting my strips to about 1.5″ before cutting each of the letters – butting them too the right of the strips to maximize the space to the left for piecing them together later. With the exception of the Plum cardstock to the right, the rest of the cardstock and the glitter cardstock is from Simon Says Stamp: Audrey Blue, Surf Blue, Sea Glass, Cotton Candy, Doll Pink.

I die-cut the word again using Silver Glitter Cardstock to give the letters and stripes more interest and a shadow. I wish I had noticed before hand that they weren’t all the same width – even though as I was piecing them together, I thought I was making them all the same width! 😬

The sentiment strip is preprinted from the Reverse Christmas Sentiment Strips. Makes it quick and easy to get a perfect sentiment! To finish, I adorned my card with sequins!
