Hi, Friends!

I have the pleasure of hopping with hopping along with Waffle Flower for their stencil release today! I have two stencils and stamps that I’m playing with today and created two cards. The first card uses the Fall for You stamp and layering stencils.

This card creates a beautiful fall background. There are three stencils which are labeled to help you begin. I started with the yellow-orange leaves using Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide Inks. For the second layer, I ink-blended with Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo. Finally, for my third layer, Ii used Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles.

I then stamped the leaf veins and mouse using the stamp set and colored the mice with Copic markers (R30, E41, E42, E43). Then to splatter the panel, I stamped the mouse on masking paper to protect him (or her) from the paint splatters and splattered the whole thing with water, white paint and dark brown paint.

To finish, I embossed the sentiment in white over black cardstock and adhered my panel over some Ivory cardstock.

My second card is a holiday card and uses the new Stripes Builder Stencil. I used Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, and Abandoned Coral to ink-blend stripes of color, leaving a few white stripes. I then I used my A2 Layers rectangle dies to cut my panel at a diagonal so the stripes weren’t perfect horizontal to give it more interest.

The spring and sentiment is one stamp – so I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. To give my card more texture, I sprayed it with some water and splattered it with dark gold Finetec paint.
