Hi, Friends!

Thanks for stopping by today! I’m creating with My Favorite Things’ Holiday Penguins today. I love penguins and I love that this set has larger images to color – it makes me happy!

I wanted lots of space so I made a slimline card. I have a nice canvas to work on and can make that tree a focal point with those festive penguins all around the tree. To start, I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers.

Reds:  R32, R35, R37, R89
Yellows/Oranges:  Y04, Y17, Y38
Greens:  G21, G24, G28, G29
Blues:  B01, B04, B06
Teals:  [BG10, BG11, BG34], [BG70, BG72, BG75]
Browns:  E34, E37, E39
Grays:  C00, C1, C2, C4, C6, C8

After die-cutting, I set them aside to work on my background. I created a simple one by ink-blending with Distress Oxide Inks using Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, and Mermaid Lagoon. I fadded to white from the top and then gave it texture by spraying with water and dark teal paint.

I attached all of my images with foam adhesive and splattered the entire panel with white paint to give it a snowy look. Finally, I stamped and embossed the sentiment and attached it.
