Hello and welcome to Day 1 of Simon Says Stamp’s Die-cember Release Blog Hop! Be sure to check out the Gallery for more inspiration from this release! Today, I’m sharing a card made using the Sunflower Petals dies to create a 3D sunflower.

I die-cut the pieces using watercolor cardstock and then colored each petal and center with Daniel Smith Watercolors. I also watercolored some leaves from the Detailed Rose set.

I created my sunflower by gluing the petals all around the outer edges of the base die that is included, then I adhered the center with foam adhesive to give it more dimension.

For some interest, I stamped and embossed my background with the Gingham background and ink-blended with Goldenlocks inks before adhering my sunflower. To finish, I attached a sentiment I trimmed from the Reverse Birthday Sentiment Strips.
