Hello, Friends!

There’s an exciting Die-cember release featuring the Tim Holtz exclusive Feathered Cardinal die! This die is free while supplies last with any Tim Holtz product purchase from Simons Says Stamp. I used the die and paired it with the Sketch Greenery set for a winter card.

I stamped and colored the two holly and berry branches with Copic markers (G02, G05, G09, R32, R35, R37, R89). Then, I fussy-cut the images and set them aside to work on the cardinal.

The cardinal body is die-cut from red cardstock and then the beak in black and yellow. I ink-blended to add shade using Vintage Photo and Black Soot. The wing is adhered with foam adhesive for dimension.

My background is ink-blended with Hickory Smoke and before attaching my sprigs, I added some snow on them by apply white embossing powder over glossy accents and heat-setting it. I splattered the panel before attaching the cardinal and embossed sentiment.
