Hi, Friends!

A new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge has just begun and the theme is New Years! You can use the badge below for inspiration! I normally don’t make New Year’s cards and when I do – the New Year # is always front and center for me so that’s what I’m inspired by.

I thought creating a card using the Really High Five set would be celebratory for the new year. So I began by stamping and coloring my images.

Blues:  B000, B01, B02
Pinks:  RV91, RV52, RV55
Teals:  BG10, BG11 BG34
Blush/Belly:  R20, E000, E30
Bunny:  E40, E41, E42, E43
Mouse:  W1, W3, W5
Fox:  E11, E13, E17, E15

I used the Puffy Cloud Backdrop Portrait die and masked the sections with a piece of cardstock to ink-blend each section a different color of the rainbow. I used residual ink from my ink-daubers for this – but if I ihad to guess, I’d say use Worn Lipstick, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Lucky Clover, Tumbled Glass, and Wilted Violet. Be very light-handed for a softer look.

I then prepared my sentiment by embossing the first portion over black cardstock with white embossing powder, then I used the New Year sentiment from the Wavy Sayings set to stamp over the die-cut Fancy Wavy Borders die. Then I die-cut the year using Oliver’s Stitched 123s using gold glitter cardstock.

To finish my card, I attached everything with foam adhesive to give it all lots of dimension. I hope you like this festive and colorful card!
