I’ve got a watercolor card to share today! I’m using an older set from Simon Says Stamp – but it’s a really great one that I’ve been wanting to paint! The Delicate Flowers set is a 6″ x 8″ filled with lots of blooms and foliage. I stamped a lot of them to create my floral spray today.

For a no-line look, I used a very light hybrid ink. My go-to is the MFT Stamps Natural Hybrid Ink. Then starting with the flowers, then working to the foliage, I began watercoloring using Daniel Smith watercolors. I used Quinacridone Violet for the flowers and on the foliage, I used 3 different shades of green (Sap Green, Hooker’s Green, Jadeite Genuine).

I splattered the painted images with white paint after die-cutting them then set them aside to work on the background. My background is ink-blended with Seedless Preserves and Worn Lipstick over Fog cardstock (I do this A LOT). I just love it and I don’t think I’d be happy with another combination on my watercolored florals.

I attached my images over the ink-blended panel using foam adhesive to give it lots of dimension, then finished by stamping the sentiment at the bottom of my card.
