Hi, Friends!

I created a simple card to share today (didn’t seem simple when I was making it because I kept fussing with it for a LONG time).

I embossed the Bursting With Love Bold Prints over white cardstock using white embossing powder and then ink-blended the panel with Distress Oxide inks. I used Tattered Rose first, then Worn Lipstick, then Seedless Preserves before die-cutting the words Love You.

I die-cut several layers to stack the words in white and once in black to create a drop shadow. I had tried several different backgrounds for my words but I ultimately liked it on white cardstock the most. I embossed the stamped sentiment and cut it down to adhere it above the die-cut words using foam tape.

To add some interest, I added water to the hearts on the embossed words. The ink gets oxidized and its color lightens. I finished my card by adding some clear white drops. The words and sentiment are bold so I couldn’t do much more without making my card too busy.
