I’m back for a quick ink-blended card today using the Cathy Zielske Color Wheel stamp. Such a simple and genius idea – sums up Cathy’s products in two words for me. She makes everything magical with her simple and genius products.
I played with color palettes and ended up with two and choose my favorite of the two to feature for today. The second card is a prop…😂😂. I embossed one in black and one in white, but I think I like white better. Then I ink-blended with Distress Oxide Inks. For the main card, I blended it without control and let the colors blend organically. In the background, the other card is done with masking. Despite the masking, the colors bled from the masking paper and muddled the color, which I didn’t love.
I used the largest Nested Circles die and die-cut my color wheel. I sprayed the ink-blended color wheels with water to give it some texture. I then attached them over card bases with foam adhesive.
I used sentiment dies from Cathy Zielske – Hello and Thank You, die-cutting the background pieces with vellum and the words with Gold Glitter Cardstock. I finished by attaching some clear droplets.
I hope you like my card! I know it’s really similar to a lot of projects that are already done using the Color Wheel stamp, but I think the appeal comes from the ease of use and how colorful this is for a quick card!
