Hi Friends!
I have a fun card to share today – different for me! I LOVE geometric cards designed by Laura Bassen and Joan Bardee, but I don’t have much confidence when I go to using them! I made myself play with both the Sexy Hexies Dies and Sexy Hexies Background stamp from the latest Make Magic Release for today’s card and used different colors for a fun geometric card.
I love when products coordinate! I used the Sexy Hexies Background stamp first and stamped the image over watercolor cardstock using a black pigment ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder to add a light wash of color using Distress Inks: Wild Honey, Victorian Velvet, and Wilted Violet.
Next, I die-cut coordinating Sexy Hexy Dies in purple and mustard cardstock that I ink-blended for interest. I wanted more dimension, so I added foam adhesive to alternating pieces in a hexagon too – because I’m crazy!!!! I extended my card-making session by 30 mins, at least! 🤪
To finish my card, I used the new CZ Reverse Craptastic Sentiment Strips. I always go for more neutral sentiments – there are some in this sentiment strip pack so don’t be afraid of its name! I used foam adhesive to attach it.
