For my card today, I was inspired to use alcohol inks to recreate a similar ocean look. I am so not ready for Christmas, but I was flipping through my Lawn Fawn bins and the Christmas Fishes set was perfect for the card I envisioned.

The background uses the following alcohol ink colors: Mermaid, Sailboat Blue, and Indigo. When I was done blowing the alcohol ink around, I let it dry, then splattered it with 91% isopropyl alcohol to give it bubbles. I set this panel aside to stamp and color my images from the Christmas Fishes set using Copic markers.

Reds:  R32, R35, R37, R39
Pinks:  [RV10, RV11, RV14], [R81, R83, R85]
Purples:  R81, V04
Greens:  [G21, G24, G28], [G20, G14, G17]
Grays:  W0, W2, W5, W7
Yellows:  Y00, Y15, Y19

I used a die from the Stitched Hillside Borders to make the ocean floor. I die-cut it from white cardstock, then ink-blended it with Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide inks. Then, I dotted it with brown Copic markers to making it sandy (E35 and E37).

I embossed my sentiment at the top of my ocean/alcohol ink panel and then adhered my ocean bottom piece with foam adhesive before creating my holiday ocean scene! I hope you like it! I really love that octopus! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
