There are TWO collaborative sets today! I’m sharing one project now using the Avery Elle collaborative Set. The Holiday Wishes Frame is a pretty holiday frame and can be colored in lots of ways. I took some time and colored it using colored pencils.
I love the ability to swap out the sentiments! I stamped the image on Fog cardstock using a light ink to do some no-line coloring. I used Polychromos colored pencils to color my image. It’s time consuming, but it always changes things up in good ways!
After coloring my frame, I used a black writing pen and used a ruler to draw back on the stitched lines. I even drew the frame/box back on and colored it with a black Copic marker. I knew I was going to adhere a black sentiment over the box and didn’t want any light cardstock to show through underneath.
Candy Canes: 118 Scarlet Red, 126 Permanent Carmine, 217 Middle Cadmium Red
Dark Green Leaves: 163 Emerald Green, 159 Hooker’s Green, 158 Deep Cobalt Green
Light Green Leaves: 171 Light Green, 112 Leaf Green, 266 Permanent Green
Olive Green Leaves: 170 May Green, 168 Earth Green Yellowish, 174 Chromium Green Opaque
Berries: 134 Crimson, 125 Middle Purple Pink, 133 Magenta
Next, I trimmed my panel using Tim Holtz’s Deckle Torn Edge Trimmer to give it more interest. My sentiment is stamped and embossed over black cardstock and I trimmed it to go over the frame in the center. I attached my sentiment with foam tape to give it more dimension too.
To finish today’s card, I attached some iridescent sequins to give it some shine. I hope you like it! I’m excited to see this one watercolored and colored with Copics too! If you’re inspired, be sure to grab this STAMPtember exclusive before it sells out!
