Hi Friends!

Thanks for joining me today as I share a project from the Gina K. Designs October Release! I’m sharing a project using the Floral Wishes illustrated by Arjita Singh. She’s so incredibly talented!

I stamped my image with a light ink to do some no-line watercoloring using Holbein watercolors. This was a palette I got from my good friend, Emily Midgett for my birthday. It’s very similar to Daniel Smith watercolors so I will be linking Daniel Smith watercolors below.

I chose 3 different shades of green for the different foliage types (Green Gray, Permanent Green No. 2, and Sap Green) and Permanent Alzarin Crimson and Quinacridone Gold for the flowers. When I was done, I splattered the panel with a deep pink paint and white paint to give it more texture and interest.

To finish my card, I embossed my sentiments in white over black cardstock. I don’t have dies but I love the look of die-cut sentiments, so I fussy cut around the word “wishing” and cut a simple strip for the sub-sentiment. I attached my sentiment with foam adhesive, then embellished my card panel with the Angel Aura jewel mix.

I hope you like this project! It’s always a labor of love to watercolor, especially with such small, detailed images, but the results are always satisfying. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
