Happy Thanksgiving, Friends!!!

I’d like to thank all my followers – I couldn’t do this without your support. Seriously, thank you for being here – even on Thanksgiving Day! I have a wreath card to share with you today using the Thankful Wreath set from the Simon Says Stamp Handmade Holiday release. I thought it would be appropriate to share this one today as it seems like Christmas will take over starting tomorrow and a fall card would feel too late to share. This is a 6″x8″ set and the wreath is a large one – probably more suited for an A7-sized card if you want to see the full image.

I started by stamping and embossing this image over Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock because I knew I wanted to use Distress Inks to paint with today. I stamped the image in black pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing ink. Once heat set, I ink-smooshed the panel using a bit of Abandoned Coral and a bit of Wild Honey Distress Inks.

After smooshing some color onto the background, I dried it with my heat tool and began painting the wreath. I created a palette on my glass work surface with smooshed ink using Vintage Photo, Rustic Wilderness, Seedless Preserves, Wild Honey, and Abandoned Coral. I then stamped the sentiment and embossed it as well. When done, I splattered the panel with some watered down Abandoned Coral, Gold and white paint to give it additional texture.

To finish my card, I wrapped twine around the panel and attached it to a piece of Fog cardstock for a soft border and embellished it with a few iridescent jewels. I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!
