The Simon Says Stamp “And Back Again” release is here.  This is a sequel to the the “To The Moon” release from last month. Over the next several days, I’ll be sharing the cards I made for this release.  I hope you enjoy them!  My first card today uses a few new products.  Mini slimline cards are getting so popular, but I have a hard time remembering to create cards using that size so it’s extra fun to have a product tailored to its use.  The Mini Slimline Snowflake Window Stencil is gorgeous.  I love snowflakes and will use them until April, ha!

I used Pixie Spray to help hold down my stencil – this is another product that I often forget to use, but it’s so handy!  I ink-blended my snowflake window over a mini slimline panel using Pawsitively Pawsitively Ink Set 6 – a pink/purple set including Bubblegum, Sweets, and Taffy ink.  I added Cadette, a blue color to intensify the color at the corner.

When I was done with the inks, I added a layer of Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint Clear Rock Candy.  As it dries, small cracks form like ice and I thought that would be cool texture to accompany the snowflake background.

Before it dry, I sprinkled on some Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter and Distress Mica Flakes to give them more shine and texture.  When it was dry, I added my sentiment using the Snowy Greetings die set.  I die-cut the base in vellum and the word in white glitter cardstock.  To finish, I attached a few iridescent sequins from the new Frosty Morning mix.
