The release is all about birthdays! I used the Balloon Alphabet set to make a slimline shaker card. I tried to color my balloons to imitate real mylar balloons and it was a fun way to color – definitely not as precise as I’m used to. I stamped and colored the letters in rainbow order to spell “birthday” using Copic markers.

There are a few fun birthday-themed layered stencils that I will share with you in a couple of days and I’m sure you’ll see them during these blog hops! For my background today, I used an older set called Layered Party. The bunting banners are a fun background for balloons so I stenciled them on a slimline panel using dye ink. I’ll link the ink colors below in the supply section.

To make my shaker card today, I used acetate to make a shaker sleeve by wrapping the acetate over my slimline panel and adhering it on the back. I filled it with Unicorn Dreams Clay Confetti and Sparkling Clear Confetti sequins before closing the final flap shut to seal my shaker shut. I finished by embossing the word “happy” from the Birthday Scripts set. I adhered all the balloons and sentiment to my shaker front using foam adhesive. For the balloon strings, I simple used a permanent fine tip marker and drew them on. There are balloon string stamps and dies with the Balloon Alphabet set but I thought this would be easier. I hope you like it!
