Hello, Friends!

Are you good about making birthday cards? I’m terrible about using birthday sentiments intentionally. I was flipping through my “to use” bin here we are a week before my birthday and decided I should make a birthday card.

Today’s card uses products from Mama Elephant’s February Release. These Celebration Hamsters are just too cute – I just love their chubby faces! I stamped and colored them with Copic markers.

Hamsters:  [E01, E11, E13], [E0000, E50, E53], 
Cake:  E30, E34, E35, E39, E79
Pinks:  R000, RV10, RV11, RV13
Oranges:  YR000, YR02
Yellows:  Y00, Y11, Y17
Teals:  BG10, BG11, BG13
Purples:  V000, V12, V15

For my background, I used the Striallop Diagonal die. I die-cut it first in white to get the pretty scallop frame, then again using different colored cardstock to get colorful strips. All the cardstock I used is from Simon Says Stamp and will be linked below. I used Glad Press N Seal to hold the pieces together and I used foam adhesive to hold them in place on the backside before attaching it to a white cardbase. The scallop frame is attached with liquid adhesive.

I finished by stamping and attaching my sentiment with foam adhesive using the Wishes Enclosed set. I’ll never complain about having to fussy-cut less! After adhering them to my card, I attached my colored images with both liquid and foam adhesive to give some images more dimension.
