Hi there!

I’m excited to share today’s card for Lawn Fawn’s Inspiration Week leading up to the summer release on May 19th at 12am EST! I love to paper-piece so I loved using the Zesty Lemon dies. I know a lot of people love citrus-themed cards, too!

I die-cut my lemons from Sticky Note and Sunflower cardstock – layering the darker (Sticky Note) color underneath the top layer. I also ink-blended them with No 2 Pencil and Sunflower ink to give them more shading. The leaves are die-cut in Cilantro cardstock and ink-blended with Clover ink. Finally, the flowers are die-cut with Ballet Slippers cardstock and ink-blended with Wild Rose Ink.

After ink-blending and paper-piecing all the components, I set them aside to work on the background. I simply ink-blended Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink in diagonal corners and kept it white at the center. I then created my scene using the die-cut elements that I previously prepared.

My sentiment is made using Henry’s ABCs. I die-cut the letters in black and white and off-set them for a slight drop shadow. Then I stamped and embossed the “wishes” from the Happy Happy Happy stamp set. To finish, I embellished the centers of my flowers using Sunshine Pearls from Pretty Pink Posh.
