Welcome to Altenew’s June 2022 Release Blog Hop! Today’s release includes stamps, dies/stencils and more! I’m using the Ethereal Roses set on my card. Be sure to check out the Altenew Blog for more inspiration!

The Ethereal Roses set is a gorgeous stamp-layering set and to give it more interest, I stamped both the roses and foliage in different color families.

Ink colors used:
Pink roses: Pink Diamond, Pinkalicioius, Rubelite, Cosmic Berry, Purple Wine
Blue roses: Arctic, Caribbean Sky, Persian, Sapphire, Obsidian
Green foliage: Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Hunter Green
Gray foliage: Morning Frost, Evening Gray, Moon Rock

I wanted ample room for all my roses, so my card today is a 5″ x 7″ card. I couldn’t use an embossing folder for this size paper, so I put my panel into a score board and scored 1/2″ diagonal marks myself to give the background more interest. After arranging my flowers and foliage on the panel and adhering them down, I splattered them with white paint to give them more texture.

I finished my card today by stamping a sentiment from the Bold Sentiments stamp set. These sentiments coordinate with the sentiments on the Ethereal Roses set and I love the option of having more sentiments in the same style! You know I love a good black and white sentiment strip!
