Hello there!

Thanks for joining me today as I share a card made using the Paint Your World Collection by Vicky Papaioannou! 

Her collection features 4 paint-brushed themed die sets, a painter’s pallet, and a stamp set that works well with them all.  Exercising some restraint, I limited myself to two paint brush sets and the stamp set.

My card today combines the Butterfly Burst and Artful Brushes sets to create a feminine artistic brush with lots of pink details, flowers, and butterflies.  When I make die-cut cards like this, I like to plan out all my colors first and die-cut all at once so putting the card together is fun and creative.  I have a video showing my process and hope you enjoy it!

My background is a watercolor wash using some Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Inks.  I applied the color initially with a brush, then switched to using some cellophane cut from stamp/die packaging to do some ink-smooshing.

Once I have all the die-cut elements ink-blended to give them some color, I pieced them together to prepare for the final card layout.  The flowers I used today are from the Mini Blooms and Sprigs set.  I added the brush and large paint splat down first, then worked on my flowers, foliage, then butterflies.

To finish, I stamped a sentiment from the Paint Your World Sentiments set and fussy cut around the letters for more interest.  I hope you enjoyed this card!  You could re-create this card in a rainbow of colors and it would be so much fun!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!
