Hi Friends!

Altenew is releasing several subscriptions products together today so we are celebrating this Super Subscription release with a blog hop! I’m sharing two today – the Cape Marguerite dies from the Craft-A-Flower series and the Silk Art Project Kit from the Craft Your Life series. My first card uses the Craft-A-Flower Cape Marguerite set. This is a die set that is pieced together for craft a flower. I googled this flower for inspiration and love the coral to deep pink/purple blend. To create my flower, I started with a coral cardstock base. After all the parts were die-cut, I ink-blended the tips with a pink, then the centers with the dark pink/purple ink.

When done ink-blending, I pieced my flowers together and also die-cut the foliage in green and ink-blended it with a darker ink. For my background, I used the Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die to give my white panel some interest. I also ink-blended it with some light green ink before adhering my flowers. My sentiment is simply embossed with a sentiment from the Sentiment Strips 2 stamp set.

Me second card uses the Craft Your Life Silk Art Project Kit. This kit comes with an embossing folder, layering stencils, stamp, and die set. To begin, I embossed my image on a white piece of cardstock using the embossing folder. Next, I used the stencils to add color to the embossed image.

After die-cutting the image, I ran the ink-blended image through my die-cutting machine with the embossing folder again to bring back it’s beautifully raised edges. I finished my card by ink-blended the background using a yellow ink and attaching a sentiment that I embossed in white over black cardstock from the Silk Art stamp set.
