I’m sharing more inspiration today from the latest Simon Says Stamp Let’s Chill Release. The set I’m using is called Birthday Bears and is illustrated by Alberto Gava. He’s SUPER talented with coloring, but he illustrates too so I’m excited to share a card made using his Birthday Bears set.

My card is inspired by an image I saw online. I usually google for ideas and love this color palette. I started with the background in ink-blended a rainbow. When I blend rainbows, I usually use 3-4 colors. Today’s card uses pink, yellow, and blue/teal (Blush, Lemonade, Surf Pawsitively Saturated Inks).

There are some cute bears in this set, but their arms are all outstretched like they’re holding just a single or a few balloons and I wanted to use the row of balloons. I stamped them twice for the top and bottom of my card. I colored them with Copic markers before die-cutting to adhere them to my ink-blended panel with foam adhesive.

Pinks:  R01, R81, R83, R85
Yellows:  Y00, Y11, Y 15
Greens:  G20, G12, G14
Blues:  BG000, BG01, BG05

I finished my card with a Happy Birthday die cut from new Rose Gold Metallic Cardstock. It’s sooo pretty and I love that it’s a little more subtle than a brassy gold. I also stamped and embossed a sentiment from the Birthday Bears stamp set for a sub-sentiment as well.
