I’m excited to share today’s project with you because I LOVE hummingbirds.  When I saw the Layered Hummingbird dies from Simon Says Stamp, I just knew I had to create with it!

You can die-cut the Layered Hummingbird with colored cardstock, but I wanted it to be really colorful with natural color blends, so I die-cut it in white and colored with Copic markers.

Hummingbird: 
Eye:  100
Beak:  E70, E71
Pinks:  RV11, RV13, RV14
Corals:  YR0000, YR00, YR02
Teals:  BG10, BG11, BG13

My floral wreath uses an image, stamped twice, from the Beautiful Mothers set. I stamped the images using a black ink and again, colored with Copic markers.

Pink Flowers:  RV10, RV11, RV13, RV14
Blue Flowers:  BG02
Foliage:  G24, G28, YG06, YG09

For my background, I ink-blended a white panel with Tidepool ink around the edges to add color.  I trimmed down this panel to mat a cardbase, then added the floral images to create a border.  Next, I added my hummingbird and splattered the panel with gold paint.  To finish, I die-cut the “hugs” word from the Small Script Trio dies in gold glitter cardstock.
