Hello Friends!
Today’s card features new products from Lawn Fawn coming your way on August 25th, 2022 at 12:00am EST! This release is so exciting as many of you love fall and winter products from Lawn Fawn. My card uses a few new products and I absolutely loved using them!
My slimline card today uses the new Build-A-Barrel: Apple, Reveal Wheel Apple Add-On, Magic Iris Sunflower, and Simply Fall Sentiments. I love being able to combine products for a card and had so much fun creating a card with apples AND sunflowers!
Describing how it’s made isn’t nearly as fun (or time consuming) as actually making one. I die-cut a lot of apples and 2 sunflowers from the products mentioned above and ink-blended them with Distress Inks to add shading. I opted for Distress Inks because I felt the colors would be more vibrant over cardstock and less chalky.
When done, I ink-blended my background with Distress Oxide Inks using Bundled Sage and Peacock Feathers. I think it’s much easier to ink-blend bigger areas with Oxide Inks as they are creamy and blend beautifully. After ink-blending, I arranged my scene and attached the sunflowers down first with liquid adhesive. Next, I built my apple barrel and then attached it with foam adhesive for dimension – I just love that half-apple, don’t you?
