I have more Lawn Fawn Inspiration to share for the week. Today’s card is die-cut focused. There are beautiful coverplates from the most recent Fall/Winter release and today’s card features the Giant Outlined Merry & Bright die.
I started by die-cutting the Giant Outlined Merry & Bright die in white. Then I created a background using cardstock stripes that are cut in 1/2″ widths. I pieced my stripes together on a scrap piece of cardstock. Then I adhered my Giant Outlined Merry & Bright piece over it.
Next, I used thin stripes of foam to prep the letters in the next step. I die-cut the Giant Outlined Merry & Bright die one more time using Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock and adhered it over the foam adhesive I had laid down.
I should’ve stopped there, but I decided to add some light pink to my letters using and R01 Copic marker. I added the color only at the bottoms of each letter to give them a bit of color. I hope you like it! Sometimes, I make it a little harder on myself than I need to with die-cutting, but it makes it so much more interesting with the extra steps!
