There’s special treat for you today! Simon Says Stamp has just released a Limited Edition STAMPtember 2022 Card Kit!
I absolutely LOVE poppies so I was so excited about the contents in this card kit. Everything will be listed below for you, but let’s talk about the cards I made because I didn’t even get around to using all of the wonderful products in this kit!
My first card uses the Poppy Field 6″ x 8″ stamp set. It’s been a while since I’ve done no-line watercoloring. I couldn’t help it with this image! I stamped with a no-line ink and watercolored it with Daniel Smith Watercolors (Pyrrol Crimson, Hooker Green, Deep Sap Green, Sap Green).
My card today is 5″ x 7″ to accommodate the spacious image and matted it over a piece of Fog cardstock. When done, I simply traced the stamens with a black writing pen and then finished by stamping the sentiment in the upper left hand corner.
My second card uses the Layering Poppy Field Stencils. I just love layered stencils so much! They make coloring so easy and I ink-blending is fun and easy!
When I was done ink-blending, I added some splatters and some gold Nuvo drops to the centers of the flowers. When the panel was dry, I stamped a sentiment from the Poppy Field stamp set. To finish, I matted this panel over a piece of Paper Roses Rainbow Poppies 6×6 Paper Pack included in the kit.
