Lawn Fawn – Inspiration Week – Giant Happy Fall

Hello again!

I’m switching back to a fall-themed card today for Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! Today’s card uses the Giant Happy Fall die, so I needed to find fall products. I just loved the Build-A-Barrel: Apple die so much, I wanted to use it again.

I started by die-cutting and ink-blending my Build-A-Barrel: Apple and Reveal Wheel Apple pieces. The cardstock colors and ink colors used will be linked below as a great visual. After die-cutting it all in various cardstock colors, I ink-blended them with a darker color to coordinate. Then, I pieced them together with liquid adhesive. I also colored the apple seeds using E34 and E37 Copic markers.

Next, I die-cut the Giant Happy Fall die using Matte Gold cardstock and Black cardstock. I offset the layers and adhered them together then set them aside with my other die-cut pieces to work on my background. The background is created by ink-blending some gray and brown ink on white paper very lightly to give it a bit of color. I used the Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop die first to die-cut the woodgrain pattern into the paper. Then, I used the Simple Stripes: Portrait die to die-cut the patterned panel into planks. To make the planks stand out more, I used gray ink to ink-blend the sides of each plank before butting them up to create the background.

Once the background was created, I adhered the sentiment first using strips of foam adhesive. Then, I adhered my barrel like it’s tipped over and spilling apples out. I filled the open space with the apples I prepared to finish my card.
