Hello friends!
Simon Says Stamp has a special mini release in lieu of DieCember! The Hugs Release is here and there are lots of fun new products! My card today uses the new Floral Garden stencil and Cathy Zielske Wild About You die.
I used the Floral Garden stencil to ink-blend a colorful background using Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I splattered the panel with pink and white paint to give it texture. While it dry, I worked on my sentiment.
For the CZ Wild About You die, I die-cut the words twice using Doll Pink cardstock and the base using vellum. I added thin slivers of foam adhesive behind the letters and embellished with gold thread. I set this aside to turn my ink-blended Floral Garden panel into a shaker using cellophane/repurposed stamp/die packaging. I filled my shaker with the new Hugs sequins before sealing it up and attaching it to a card base.
I finished by attaching my sentiment to the top of my shaker panel. I thought the “wild” in the sentiment would go well with the wildflowers on the Floral Garden background. It was completely unintentional that the colors I chose for my background complimented the new Hugs sequins!
